On December 18, 2007, I admitted myself to Singing Trees Residential Recovery Program. I was extremely depressed, ashamed and sick to my soul. I was hopeless and afraid. I had no idea what the future would hold for me. What I found out about in recovery has changed my life and given me hope for the future.

Singing Trees is located in beautiful Southern Humboldt surrounded by old growth Redwoods with the ever changing Eel River flowing by. The healing power of Singing Trees is by far what makes it so special.

During my stay, I participated in group therapy, lectures and videos about addiction. We read about the recovery process and received one on one therapy sessions with the licensed counselors. We also had a traditional Sweat Lodge Ceremony once a week which was very powerful and healing.

The staff at Singing Trees are a very caring and understanding group of people. They helped me to understand the 12-Step Recovery Program.

I continue to return to the Trees for continuing care. I look forward to these visits. My life today is filled with hope and faith and I owe it to Singing Trees. They have given me the tools that I use to stay clean. ~ Robin
