Co-founder of Singing Trees Recovery Center. Prior experience includes Community Activist, sixteen years in Southern Humboldt Recovery Center and a 52-year resident of Humboldt County.

John B. McManus - Program Director
Role: General Management, Counseling and Case Management

10 years in the recovery community. Several years of substance abuse treatment services experience including Substance Abuse Counseling, Employment Assistance Case Management, and Crisis Intervention Counseling. Former Executive Director of the North Coast Substance Abuse Council and Crossroads Residential Treatment Facility in Eureka, California. Former Executive Committee member of the Humboldt Housing and Homeless Coalition.

Marilyn Bowen - Program Counselor
Role: Counseling and Case Management

Twenty-seven years working in the community and eighteen years working in recovery services. Employed for eight years with Singing Trees Recovery Center. Previous House Manager of W.I.S.H. Women and Children in Crisis Shelter Home.

Richard Rutherford - Program Counselor - C.A.S. Certified Addiction Specialist
Role: Counseling and Case Management

Ten years in recovery community. Employed eight years with Singing Trees Recovery Center.

John Laudenschlager - Program Counselor - C.A.T.S.
Role: counseling and Case Management

Seven years in recovery community. Employed six years with Singing Trees Recovery Center. Two years of Addiction Studies, through College of the Redwoods.

Kathleen Gray - Program Counselor - C.A.T.S.
Role: Counseling and Case Management

Twelve years in recovery community. Employed five years with Singing Trees Recovery Center. Two years of Addiction Studies, through College of the Redwoods.
